Those attending this year’s Oktoberfest in Market Square had an extra special reason to celebrate during U.P.’s popular fall festival.
In addition to live music from the Beans, Beer & Brat Polka Band and DJ Miles, the huge crowd who turned out for the celebration was able to view a large outdoor screen that showed the Seattle Mariners defeat the Detroit Tigers in Game 5 of the American League Division Series.
As always, the E9 Brewing Co. beer garden was a big hit as were the food trucks, costumed characters and carnival games.
The crowd stayed until the final out, raising steins and cheers to the Mariners as they move on to the next round of the Major League Baseball playoffs. Thanks to all those who came out and made this an Oktoberfest for the record books. Together, we hit this one out of the park (pun intended!)
