Be sure to secure your spot along the parade route, which starts at the corner of 29th Street and Bridgeport Way and continues south to 37th Street, ending at West Pierce Fire & Rescue's Fire Station 31.

Parade-goers will want to take note of the new route, which has the parade in the southbound lanes to 35th Street, then moves to the northbound lanes, passing directly in front of Market Square on its way to 37th Street Court West. Turning left on 37th Street Court West, the parade will end at Drexler Drive.

Additionally, this year, in an effort to improve spectators' safety and viewing, candy may be thrown only by walking parade participants. No candy may be thrown from vehicles.

The festivities will continue at the Village at Chambers Bay where more fun awaits, including food trucks, music and scores of children’s attractions, stilt walkers, face painting, games and popular costumed characters.

When the parade ends, the fun will continue in the Village at Chambers Bay where country rock artist Joel Gibson, Jr. will take to the main stage at 11 a.m., followed by the Rob Tudor Band at 1 p.m.

There will also be loads of activities for the kids, including games, airbrush artists and glitter tattoos. Throughout the celebration, MAGIC in the PNW Characters such as Princesses Peach, Belle and Rapunzel, as well as Moana and action heroes Mario and Captain America, will meet and greet the kids.

Outside in Market Square, there will be food trucks from Branks BBQ, Kona Ice, Thai'm to Roll, Honeycomb Raw Honey and TastyZ Kettle Corn. And back by popular demand, the South Sound Makers Market will showcase quality hand crafted goods from more than 50 local artisans.

At noon inside the Civic Building, the atrium will come alive when Reptile Isle presents an entertaining and educational look at some of the rarest and most amazing creatures in the world.

West Pierce Fire & Rescue Station #31 will host an Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free hot dogs, refreshments and close-up looks at their equipment. The Pierce County Sheriff's Department and U.P. Police Department will join the display at the Fire Station.
