The Danny Godinez Trio at Music on the Square
Wednesday, August 24, 2022
One of the finest guitarists in the northwest, Danny Godinez will be joined this evening by jazz-funk organist Joe Doria.
Live music at Market Square!
From the concert series sponsor, U.P. Refuse:
"We are so grateful to be celebrating the 80th anniversary of our service in University Place. And since community involvement and support has been a priority for us since the beginning, we are sponsoring the 2022 Music in the Square series, and bringing the party to the concert on August 24 at 6 p.m. Thank you, University Place, for your unwavering support since 1942!"
The second to the last show, Aug. 24, will feature Danny Godinez. He is considered one of the northwest's finest guitarists and is also an accomplished singer and songwriter. His music spans a wide range of influences. For several years he co-led a band with Santana drummer Michael Shrieve. For this MOTS show he'll be joined by well-known Seattle jazz-funk organist Joe Doria, who has played on over 30 albums.
The food trucks for this night are Ruca and Uncle Mike's Filipino Comfort Food.
