Join us for the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Market Square on Friday, Dec. 5!

The City of University Place invites you to celebrate the season with an evening full of holiday magic, music, and community cheer.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the festivities begin at 5 p.m. with holiday music and the arrival of Santa, who will make his grand entrance aboard a fire engine! Santa will be available for photos in the beautifully decorated Civic Building Atrium from 5–7:30 p.m., taking a quick break to help us flip the switch and light the Christmas Tree alongside the U.P. City Council at 6 p.m. sharp.

Enjoy live reindeer, Merry Maker’s family games and fun, and delicious food and drinks from our Town Center restaurants and bars, including new additions Beirut Bites and Salted Rim Bar & Kitchen.

Back by popular demand, United by Music returns to the stage with a festive Christmas repertoire, while DJ Myles keeps the crowd energized with holiday tunes and interactive fun.

It promises to be another memorable holiday celebration in University Place—and we hope you’ll be there to share in the magic when the tree lights up the night at 6 p.m. sharp!
