Chief's Report

Property crimes continue at a higher rate than previous years. These last two weeks included 6 vehicle thefts and 9 thefts from a vehicle. Right now, Hyundais and Kias are a prime target.

Incident: Armed Robbery of a citizen – Location: 3800 block of Bridgeport Wy W

Citizen was contacted by two suspects as she exited her vehicle in the parking lot. The suspects displayed a handgun and demanded the car keys and cellphone. They fled the area in the victim’s car.

Incident: Aggravated Assault – Location: 6700 block of Regents Blvd W

While driving on Bridgeport a suspect began aggressively following the victims. The victims tried to avoid the suspect but ultimately the suspect rammed the victim’s car and then struck a business building. The motive is unknown as the victims do not know the suspect and there was no prior contact to the “road rage” incident.

Incident: Felony Theft – Location: Store 3900 block of Bridgeport Wy W

Cellphone store suffered a theft of several cellphones when a group came into the store and took items. One suspect was arrested on the scene who had identification and credit cards under the name of several different people.
