Spring Art & Concert Series - Thomas & Baij

Concertgoers are in for a treat this Spring during UP for Arts 2018 Spring Art & Concert Series. “Our events are unique in that they pair a variety of musical performances with visual and performing artists,” according to UP for Arts Vice Chair Debbie Klosowski.

April 27: Multi-award winning pianist, violinist and composer Jennifer Thomas performs original songs, plus new music from her latest album. The visual artist for the evening is Cindy Baij with her watercolor.

Spring Art & Concert Series - Bede, Ellis & Suckow

Concertgoers are in for a treat this Spring during UP for Arts 2018 Spring Art & Concert Series. “Our events are unique in that they pair a variety of musical performances with visual and performing artists,” according to UP for Arts Vice Chair Debbie Klosowski.

March 23: Seattle opera star and Tacoma native, Ryan Bede, along with Elisabeth Ellis, pianist, will sing Songs Of The British Isles with selections by Vaughan Williams, Gurney, Quilter, Finzi and more! The visual artist for the evening is Dan Suckow with his photography.

Spring Art & Concert Series - Carmichael & Kling

Concertgoers are in for a treat this Spring during UP for Arts 2018 Spring Art & Concert Series. “Our events are unique in that they pair a variety of musical performances with visual and performing artists,” according to UP for Arts Vice Chair Debbie Klosowski.

February 23: Critically acclaimed Bay Area pianist, Robyn Carmichael, performs works by Scarlatti, Schubert, Tchaikovsky and Schuman. The visual artist for the evening is Gina Kling with her raku pottery.

Fall Arts and Concert Series

An outstanding line up of classical music and jazz interspersed with elegant woodworking, fused glass and exquisite jewelry will enthrall audiences in the upcoming 2017 UP for Arts Fall Arts & Concerts Series.

All events occur on Friday nights from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the University Place Civic/Library Atrium located at 3609 Market Square (36th and Bridgeport). Each performance pairs performing artists with visual artists. Free parking is available underneath the library.
