Fourteen-day comment period opens for Notice of Determination of Nonsignificance, Marijuana Uses, Case No. SEP17-0003

The City of University Place has issued a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) pursuant to WAC 197-11-340(2)(a). The City of University Place proposes to amend the zoning code so that in the event the City Council in the future determines to allow State-licensed and regulated marijuana uses in the City, zones where such uses would be allowed by conditional use permit and applicable development standards are codified.  

The City has determined that the proposal does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. This decision was made after the preparation of an environmental checklist and other information on file with the City. This information is available to the public on request.

This DNS is issued under WAC197-11-340(2)(a), a 14-day comment period begun on March 6, 2017 expires on March 20, 2017. The comment period is followed by a 14-day appeal period. You may appeal this determination no later than April 3, 2017.
