Board Member sought for Conservation Futures Citizens' Advisory Board

Applications are currently being accepted from residents interested in serving as the Official City Representative to the Pierce County Conservation Futures and Open Space Citizens’ Advisory Board.

This position is open until filled.

Commissioners are residents that, through their volunteer efforts, play an integral role in the growth and development of their community.

Conservation Futures is a Pierce County land preservation program for the protection of threatened areas of open space, timber lands, wetland, habitat areas, agricultural and farm lands within the boundaries of Pierce County. To acquire the land or the rights to future development of the land, the County collects and distributes Conservation Futures funds and has established the Citizens’ Advisory Board to review each Project Proposal for recommendation to the Pierce County Council.
