Behavior recognition is everyone's responsibility

When you have an uneasy feeling about something occurring in your neighborhood and choose NOT to report that information by dialing 911 or non-emergency, you refuse to give us the opportunity to investigate and as a consequence you or your neighbor may be victimized. If it turns out to be nothing, we continue about our business responding to other such calls around the City. You are the eyes and ears of this City. You know what is normal for your neighborhood. Report ALL suspicious activities without hesitation.

Emergency number:
911

911 is for emergency use only. An emergency is defined as " an immediate threat to life or property, or a crime in progress." If a speedy response will solve the problem and prevent further injury or damage, call 911.

(24 hour) Non-emergency number:
253.798.4722
Report any other issue, concern or suspicious circumstance by dialing the 24 hour non-emergency number. This number may ring for several minutes if there is a high volume of emergency 911 calls.

All other calls:
253.798.4058
You can contact the University Place Police Office for general inquiries during business hours, Monday - Friday 9AM - 12noon or 1PM - 4PM.
